I’ve started a class in Internet Technologies. Hopefully, it will give me a better grasp on this web design/development thing. I could use a more solid foundation.
If you plan on being a graphic designer, I highly recommend the watching of the documentary film “Helvetica”. Here is the trailer.
In this video, John Maeda explains innovations, and how to lead other artists.
Bridging the gap between computer science and design, John Maeda created a series of interactive books in the late 90’s.
“The problem isn’t how to make the world more technological. It’s about how to make the world more humane again.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Along with graphic design, John Maeda has also written some software which can be found on his site. His applications range from the fun Misspeller, which misspells all of the words in a typed box, to a helpful Credit Card debt repaying application found here. He continues to prove his versatility in blending technology with graphic design.
